Centuries ago, Arulian was ripped from the earth and sent heavenwards. The fearful Arulian people were at a loss as to what was going on, or how they could escape the moving mass that was once their home. Their confusion quickly turned to abject terror when they suddenly began to demonstrate strange abilities. Control of earth, water, fire, and/or air.
Many thought that these abilities were gifts from the gods; meant to aid them in escaping the drifting mass that they had unwillingly been imprisoned to. Yet, every time the people tried using their abilities, or inventions to leave, something would go wrong, and the brave souls would plummet to their death.

However, in current times, the need to escape is becoming even more great. Resources are growing more scarce as the land becomes more infertile; and even worse, a growing darkness is beginning to emerge from the land. Creatures appear in the depths of night, with glowing eyes and jagged fangs. If something isn't done soon; the people of Arulian will fulfill the five kingdoms stories.
