[close] Just jumping around at random, I read a story by Phyllis Ann Karr called Merlin's Dark Mirror. I was attracted by the title, thinking that it had something to do with scrying. Well it does begin with Merlin scrying to see what Arthur dreamed about. But this tale has an evil Merlin, whose goal is to deliver Arthur to the Devil. Sorry, not buying this version of Merlin nor of a weak Arthur, either. Minus one for this volume. Let's see if something better turns up.
