Authors- it is bad form to promote your novel by announcing give-a-ways and other such promotions in another's book forum. Introducting yourself in ways like "Hello... I am the author of such-and-such" will be deleted. I love meeting authors, but let us first establish a report before posting personal advertisments on each other's pages. Such activity devalues goodreads and comes across as social networking spam, which is undesirable and petty. Thanks for understanding and following the rules.
