The Aforementioned Classics Group
Reading classics with friends so our brains don't turn to mush while we're out of school.
Our reading will be organized roughly into four time periods: Pre-Renaissance; Renaissance & Enlightenment; Victorian; and Modern. Each year, we read 3 books from each period--a fiction, a non-fiction, and a play or poetry--loosely organized by a theme.
Our group blog will have a background essay on each work we read. Hopefully members of the group will also contribute short essays on each work as an end prod ...more
