[close] Expectations: Each student contributes to discussion in a meaningful way that demonstrates engagement with the text and brings depth to their peers' understanding. Students work to maintain an open-ended, but focused discussion. Discussion is collaborative and constructive which involves sharing ideas, listening to and taking into consideration the perspectives of others, and working together to build meaning.
