[close] We take it in turns to propose, then elect books to add to the queue. The only broad limitation is that texts must have literary merit or be culturally significant, preferably 'classics'.

It is recommended to pick up a good, scholarly edition to ensure textual accuracy, good introduction and proper notes (in descending order: Oxford World's Classics, Norton Critical Edition and Penguin Classics) but, of course, 'standard' editions are preferable.
