[close] This is the virtual forum of New City Library's "In Other Worlds," a monthly, librarian-run, speculative fiction book group based in New City, NY. All are welcome.

Titles are chosen quarterly by the moderating librarian. (Suggestions welcome!) We'll be reading the same selections as the in-person group.

Discussion will open the first Monday of the month, and continue to the end of the calendar month.

We encourage lively, intelligent discussion and spirited interactions from all of our group members. Please, be respectful of others. (Critique the book, not the author.)

We ask that group members refrain from hate speech, gratuitous rudeness, threats, self-promotion, and spam.

Some titles (and the discussions they engender) may contain mature themes or content; readers should proceed at their own discretion.

The moderators of In Other Worlds... Online reserve the right to remove posts in violation of these guidelines at their discretion, and to remove repeat offenders from the group.
