In the year 2993, society collapsed. All at once, bombs went off, large groups of people revolted, and the government was overthrown. As a last resort, a small band of military fighters managed to send out a signal shutting down everything high-tech left in the world. Cars stopped working, phones went dead in their owners hands and planes fell out of the sky. Lights remained on in certain areas, and boats continued to run.
