message 2: by Jenna (new)

message 3: by Jess (new)

Jess um... I haven't read any of these!!

message 4: by Phyllis (new)

Phyllis I have not read any of these- put some James Patterson books and I will vote- lol- Phyllis

message 5: by Del (new)

Del I've read 1 and 1/2 of the books on this list (and the Number-1-so-far is one book I couldn't bear to read more than halfway through). Looks like I'll be adding even *more* to my "To Read" list!

message 6: by Rebekah (new)

Rebekah Neither have I....I've been so busy with reading for work and school that I am still catching up on the things I've meant to read the past few years. I'm quite a good deal behind....

message 7: by Isa (new)

Isa I cannot vote fairly until I've read a good number of these, but I really enjoyed the Twilight series.

message 8: by Anjuelle (new)

Anjuelle none of the books I've read were on the list.

Thanks for being my friend at goodreads.

Have a nice day.

Made DNA who decided which books got on this list?

message 10: by Irwan (new)

Irwan me neither... havent read any of those books...

message 11: by Vicki (new)

Vicki Eeek! I haven't read any of these, either. (Blush) Lists like these just remind me of how I *really* don't get enough reading in these days. :..(

Charlene McConnell Hey, I've read some of these, which I find is an oddity, usually these lists contain nothing I have read!

Charlene

message 13: by Ardita (new)

Ardita Most of these books just arrived in the country where I live and applies like 40% tax to imported books. I'd like to save first

Although I'd really like Jhumpa Lahiri's book to be the best.

message 14: by Anjuelle (new)

Anjuelle Adam:

Thanks. But you've listed none of the books I've read.

message 22: by Janie (last edited Feb 25, 2009 02:15AM) (new)

Janie Pendleton had to vote for the only book that I've read on the list...to say any different would not be fair. Breaking Dawn, I have not finished yet.

message 23: by Donald (new)

Donald Can't this wait till the end of the year? We have five and a half more months of 08 left.

message 28: by Natalio (new)

Natalio Feliciano The best book I have read is: The Lady Waved Good-bye, by Natalio Feliciano

message 29: by A.F. (new)

A.F. I haven't read any of them, I haven't even heard of most of them. I must be out of touch.

message 30: by Brian (new)

Brian Ditto most of these thouughts. I haven't heard of most of these, but have added some to my list.

message 31: by Lea (new)

Lea I have not read any of these - just started Katie Ford's book though. A few would definitely go on my To-Read list but I have a lot already. I second the thought that we should wait a few months. A lot of good books come out in the fall and that's where I do the bulk of my reading (also, winter when I;m inside more...

message 32: by Stephan (last edited Aug 13, 2008 03:56PM) (new)

message 38: by Will (new)

Will Colbert I haven't read any of the Books I voted on-but they
look like they would be enjoyable reading?
Will

message 39: by Terri (new)

Terri Can't believe I havent read a single one of these, though several are in my TBR piles

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

I hadn't read any of these either, so I added Amanda Grange's Mr.Knightley's diary. That was probably my favorite read of 2008.

Cindy K. Green
Author of Sweet, Sensual, and Inspirational Romance

message 41: by Maryanne (new)

Maryanne Raphael My favorite book was the Last Lecture. I found it so touching, so inspiring. It is a book I will never forget.

message 43: by bjneary (new)

bjneary Thanks for letting me vote- I have read many of the books but I really, really enjoyed Jennifer Storm's book and I am still passing it around to my adult friends (who may or may not have children dealing with alcoholism) and they love it too----it speaks volumes that Jennifer struggled for so long and now look at her recovery, her job (which can be sooo challenging!!! and rewarding!!!!) and her happiness in life. I wish everyone would read her book.

message 44: by Gay (new)

Gay ay-ya!!!! I haven't read one of those books!!! Sorry. I'll have to get too it!

message 45: by Michele (new)

Michele Lee Several of these are small press or self published books that have gotten less than stellar reviews elsewhere. I dub this list suspect.

message 46: by Cyndie (new)

Cyndie Kalina Indeed the list is questionable. Each respondent should add their favorite not just select from the list

message 47: by Pamela (new)

Pamela Alot of these books I havent read yet but I would love to read them!

message 48: by Laurel-Rain (new)

Laurel-Rain I'm afraid that many of these books are on my To Be Read list, or I haven't even thought about them. I voted for a book that I had read and enjoyed.

message 49: by Karen & Gerard (new)

Karen & Gerard I haven't read any of these so can't vote, sorry.
