Marked is an awesome book and so is Vampire Kisses.

I totally agree.

I think Marked is okay, but I really hated the rest of the HoN series.

And I wasn't a fan of Raven in Vampire Kisses.

City of Bones definitely belongs on this list, it was painful just getting through the first chapter.

Well, I really liked A Great and Terrible Beauty. :) Different strokes, though!

WHAT????? CITY OF BONES IS LIKE THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!! Demon slaying people who keep vampires, werewolvs and fairiess under control??? TOTAL AWESOMNESS!!! whats not 2 like???

I really liked it too, Kelly, but I can definitely see where it might lose some people.

WHAT?? I like most of these books! (marked, hush hush, beautiful creatures, vampire academy, blue bloods, fallen, glass houses, night world no. 1&2&3, untamed, hunted, the vampire diaries, claire de lune, the luxe) and shiver? thats an amazing book so is the hunger games??? and city of bones??? how can they be bad?????

Are you KIDDING? The Hunger Games? No way, that doesn't belong on this list, and neither does Beautiful Creatures or Vampire Academy.

I think the book This Lullaby and Stoner and Spaz are pretty good YA books. the other books are actually bad.

why is Vampire Academy in this list??? It's the most wonderful book I've ever read.and i also like hush,hush ,fallen and shiver.
and though i hadn't read hunger games yet,A LOT of people definitely love it!i would too.

I liked a lot of the books on this list so huh.

Totally agreeing with Twilight though!

I have read almost all of the books on this list, and yes, SOME of them are absolutely horrendous. But Fallen? That book was one of my favorites! Hush Hush, Beautiful Creatures, Night World, Great and Terrible Beauty, Ever, Halo, Evernight, Need, Wings, Torment, and Wake were also on my favorites list.

Marked was good, but the rest of the series got steadily worse. The last one I read was a mess.

City of Bones and Clockwork Angel belong on this list, and I'm surprised Twilight isn't on here. Beautiful Creatures wasn't awful, but it's nothing to brag about either.

I don't think HG is a bad book. I know this thing, where teens hate commonly loved books, but HG is not that bad...

I'm surprised Twilight isn't number 1. Not too surprised at Evermore being number 1 instead though. I'm just really surprised Twilight is number 4. I haven't read Fallen or Hush, Hush so I'm not sure what to think of those.

Much as I enjoy Vampire Kisses, I can see why it made the list. It's cute, but not the most complex, intriguing series. Plus, much like HoN, it is dragging on. I enjoyed Marked, but HoN got out of control. However, I love Vampire Academy and The Hunger Games, although I agree with Mockingjay. I didn't think it was a good ending to a wonderful series.

I completely agree with you. I loved the first 2 books of HoN, but then it just became a nuisance. Hush, hush is like Twilight, possibly worse. I read Twilight no problem but Hush, hush gave me a headache.

Hunger Games, Night World, and House of Night weren't bad. :/
Mockingjay for the Hunger Games was not good. I didn't like that one at all. Sure I had some points against the other two books, but Mockingjay should be on this list unlike the others in my opinion.
Night World isn't that bad. It's as it should be, a collection of stories with different characters that will eventually lead up to a big blow-out involving the rest. It shouldn't be on this list.
House of Night, I had some points against as well, however, it isn't terrible and shouldn't be on a Worst Books list. I like the series, even if I disagree with how it should be sometimes.

Choker is one of the most mind-blowing books I've ever read. I love it.

I don't care if some of my faves are on the list. Each has his own experience in reading so if you like or not -- it's up to you. It's like eating junk foods; we know they are definitely not healthy but we still devour them anyway.

Why the fuck is the Hunger Games on here?

Hunger Games is awesome, but I wouldn't consider it a literary masterpiece. It was different when it came out, and it certainly started a trend with dystopian books, but everybody is entitled to their own opinions. It seems you are a huge fan. I really like the books, but think they could use some improvements (mostly the third book). Some people don't like HG, and that's okay. I do agree that it's annoying when people say they hate something because it's popular, but they've never read it before.

I don't consider Never Let Me Go a YA book....?

I have to say that I only agree with this list to a certain degree. While many of the books on here are pure pulp fiction for young adults, some books are on a higher level. For example, the Hunger Games definitely ramped up the intelligence required to read a top-ten book. The quality of Suzanne Collins' and also Libba Bray's work is far superior to the whole supernatural romance craze books. Although, I have to admit, a great and terrible beauty does have a cover like a bodice-ripper, which certainly won't endear it to fans of real literature.

Okay, I'll admit, I love some of these books (CoB, Vampire Academy, Evernight Saga, Shiver Trilogy, Percy Jackson series, etc.) and sort of like others (Hush Hush, Beautiful Creatures, Fallen Saga, etc.). However, Evermore was terrible, Great and Terrible Beauty wasn't the best and Body Finder was lame. So this list and I have a love-hate relationship.

Most of these books, I reall like........ Awkward..

I really like The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series though, despite my hating Clary Fray. lol

Wow. I would have never have come to that realization. But, I must say that most books with that have GLBT are mostly centered around that. Like the plot IS that they are gay. I've never read a book where the main character happens to be gay and whatever. Or some other characters are gay and whatever. Who cares. Books with gay characters ALWAYS center on the fact that a character is gay. Unless someone else has read a book where this isn't true.

Lily, House of Night has Damien, who is gay, but is a side character and isn't the focus. Of course, they play on his "gayness" a little too much and make it totally stereotypical and annoying. But no, not all books involving gay characters focus on the fact that they are gay. There's also the fact that JK Rowling said that Dumbledore is gay, but again that wasn't the focus. I'm sure there are pleanty others, you just have to find them.

Oh yeah! I haven't read House of Night in forever and I didn't think of it because I really don't like that series.
I'm not really sure I count Dumbledore considering the fact that it wasn't mentioned until after the series. Yeah, I'm sure there are more that I haven't found.

Um... I don't think Paranormalcy is that bad. I mean sure, it's not great either, but it's definetly better than most of the YA stuff out there.

Who the fuck thought a Metro 2033 novel was YA?
