Well, we will just have to wait and see! LOL Hopefully everyone will be a bit nicer here. who knows?
Seriously, who let these asshats write a book? Or in many cases, who let someone write a book for these asshats? I agree, this list could be controversial because I am sure someone someplace is already upset their book got in this list. Ay ay ay.
What a great list. I seriously believe that Twilight needs to be bumped to the number one spot....seriously, how do SO many people think that book series is so great. I unfortunately read all of the books, and I literally feel like I have never read a worse book series in my entire life. Just horrible...
I DON,T KNOW WHY CELEBRITIES THINK THEY CAN WRITE, ALL OF THE LIST IS OF STUPID CELEBRITIES WHO PROBABLY DON,T EVEN READ, MUCH LESS WRITE ONE. YOU FORGOTTEN TWO PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE ON THE LIST FOR WRITING BOOKS WHEN THEY AREN,T SMART ENOUGH TO READ ONE MORE OR LESS WRITE ONE, LISSA RINNA & HARRY HAMMLIN , I DON,T KNOW THOSE TWO IDIOTD THINK THEY CAN WRITE, I WOULD USE BOTH OF THOSE BOOKS FOR TOLIET PAPER.
They had Snooki on the today show instead of the Newbery and Caldecott award winners! What a load of crap!!
who the hell let them write books? wait, did they even write these books?i don't get it why some actors/actresses/reality show stars want to write books. cant they be contented with owning TV? they just had to put their faces in book shelves too. man.
uhm, twilight wasn't so bad. i even liked it. its the hysteria surrounding it that makes me gag.
What I don't get is people writing a memoir when they haven't even hit 30.There should be a rule, no memoirs until you hit fifty.
and it would help if you also did something besides getting drunk and naked.
"First Step 2 Forever 4.36 avg rating" seriously?? Even Shakespeare, Austen and great other authors don't have that rating on their masterpieces. I'm still shocked that there are actually "people" who read these pieces of s*** AND loved it.. --'@χηριθτινα: I mentioned the two authors without even noticing that you did too, sorry ^^'
I don't know why everyone famous thinks they have the most heartbreaking famous beautiful eloquent autobiography to recount. They do not.
To all of the people that participated in these ratings((twilight books)), please, let's get real. We were all twihards and now you want to talk stuff about twilight because you're grown up. X-twihards that were caught up in series, we should all admit it.
I'm grown up and i feel like a sucker because i was in love with twilight. Twilight made me feel violated, and now i'm awake and conscious. The games that i have not opened yet, i want to send to the goodwill, but they don't want them. You guys may call me a poop talking troll but i'm not.
I love how the Twilight books are on here, but Fallen, Hush Hush and I Am Number Four? I'm not quite sure they belong here.

Goes back to the title of this thread, "who let these people (or that woman) write a book?"

I definitely second that, Travis. And don't even get me started on those who write pseudo-memoirs *cough Frey cough* then try to sell their lie as "I could not publish it as fiction because no one would take it." Uh huh.
Annabel wrote: "I love how the Twilight books are on here, but Fallen, Hush Hush and I Am Number Four? I'm not quite sure they belong here."I agree with this
Well, I (personally) wouldn't put any fiction that was written honestly on this list. Imagination is different from life experience. But as I stated in the intro, it's all about opinion.
Best list ever. Seriously, just becuase you have a 'pretty' face, a crappy album, or are on a t.v. show does NOT mean you should write a book! I read books becuase I can't stand T.V. and celebrities... so when I go to the bookstore and see some celebrities face blown up on a book that is taking up half the store, I just want to turn around and leave. I can't believe these people are actually selling these books, either, but then again I CAN believe it, becuase a book about some persons favorite tv show finally urges them to pick up their first book, and then they praise it like it's their new bible or something. Twilight, for instance, has such a big hype becuase it is sooo easy to read and fits the criteria of teens who didn't really like to read in the first place.

I second that notion! well, third-en?? hahaha. But honestly, some of these books are pretty good, and i don't see why they are even on the list... I think this list should have been more of a celebrity-trying-for-more-publicity thing, i can understand, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Tyra Banks etc. being on the list but i really don't think some of these books should be on here! Hush Hush, I am number Four and Fallen are all on my favourites list!
I won't throw 'Twilight' under the bus because i was reading that way back in January 2007. I just don't like how so overly hyped it has gotten and the way so many young girls put this series on a pedestal to the point that it itself almost "sparkles" lol kind of nauseating if you ask me.I think that some of the other choices of fiction is a little much to be throwing on here, but to each their own I guess.
Snooki is about the worst one I have heard of on this list. Oh dear, I could care less if she desecrates tv with her trash but don't try and crap all over books. Though when I heard an excerpt of it I about died laughing. I would never subject myself to reading it though, I don't want to waste the time or money on that trash.
I don't get why The Magicians is on here, I thought it was amazing, but I guess that's just opinion....
I'm wondering why President Bill Clinton is on this list. Some of these books really don't belong here. But to each their own.
Good god I had no idea Katie Price wrote so many freaking books!! The thing I don't like about celebrities releasing books is that most of them are not genuine "authors". They hire a ghost writer because they are too busy with their mall appearances to actually sit down and write a decent autobiography.
Well, I do agree partially. The Snooki, Paris Hilton, Perez Hilton, etc. books are completely pointless. Idiotic. On the other hand, I did fairly enjoy Fifty Shades of Grey and the House of Night Series. And, honestly, I kind of liked Fallen. But, regardless, I liked this list. Some of them made me really laugh (Justin Bieber poster book? I mean, really?)
I know some actors think they are SO popular that they can write a book but then the book sucks and it was a waste of time. No offense to anybody who likes these books, not all of them are bad just some of them [ usually the idiot books like snooki and the situation, i mean seriously?] I am actually looking forward to reading Beneath the Glitter which is a book by Elle and Blair Fowler it seems very well written and a fun interesting book. So don't get me wrong not all of these books are bad.
so many horrible book, book I will not even look twice. well, except some stray in the list that shouldn't be here like "hush, hush, etc)Justin beiber book..how it gets so many fan is beyond me, considering his attitude and his recent insult toward a certain country in public (my home)
I used to not caring about celebrities, but now I have one i hate, we should all ban him especially from my country.
too bad they don't.after that single insult which is broadcasted, we do have the right to ban every single thing that is related to bieber.
There are many tragic excuses for a book up there, but I was surprised to see some of my favorites on the list. Can someone explain to me why HUSH HUSH and THE MAZE RUNNER are up there? Seriously, are you blind or reading impaired?! I haven't read BEAUTIFUL DISASTER, but I've been dying to and I hear it's a really good book. Geez, whoever made this list must have accidentally clicked on some of the wrong novels.
I'm sorry, but the Uglies does not deserve to be on this list. Just putting it out there. Mostly everything else does.
Annabel wrote: "I love how the Twilight books are on here, but Fallen, Hush Hush and I Am Number Four? I'm not quite sure they belong here."The theme of the list is subjective so, in theory, any book can be put on the list. The good ones will hopefully get fewer votes and have a lower score and placement.
Courtney wrote: "I'm sorry, but the Uglies does not deserve to be on this list. Just putting it out there. Mostly everything else does."I've noticed a couple of books that shouldn't be on here.
I honestly don't know what annoys me worse: a book getting popular just because of who wrote it or a horribly written book getting popular by someone who was nameless. I blame Fanfiction for allowing millions of people to conjugate around a story and expect it's release so much that they buy it and pass it on to friends... And make it a best seller...

People who vote for well-written books probably formed a personal opinion based on something other than the author's writing abilities. I see a few books on this list that have earned prestigious awards... I'm pretty sure they have rightfully earned their authorship.
What pisses me off about some of these books is that... most celebrities don't even write their own books!! They just outsource it to some with the outlines of the book and than someone else writes it for them and they publish it with their name leaving no credits to the ones who actually put in so much work and times!! They pay the money and they are done! whooosh!!
How lucky to be a person who hit the fortune and then can spend it for books about themselves when there are much more deserving people whose story can not only Increase awareness but also encourage people who can't spend such fortune and their own writing is left hanging by the publications!!!
Just SO UNFAIR!

And some of the books on this lists... Needs to be in the favorites of many people and its true work of fiction or writing... like ... The Alchemist!! This book is awesome!!
I'm very sorry, but why the heck is Uglies on here? I am Number Four? Those are two of my favorite books!
Elizabeth wrote: "I'm very sorry, but why the heck is Uglies on here? I am Number Four? Those are two of my favorite books!"Hi, Elizabeth.
This is a subjective list. Someone thought they belonged here. Books with fewer votes have a lower ranking on the list.
I understand a lot of the books being on here, but really? Twilight, I am number four, and a few more are some of my faves! From other people's comments, this doesn't seem like a very accurate list.
Why is Beautiful Disaster here? The Host? City of Bones? Uglies? I am Number Four? I love those books!
Nicole wrote: "I understand a lot of the books being on here, but really? Twilight, I am number four, and a few more are some of my faves! Being that stories are so subjective, a communal list of hated books doesn't really make sense to begin with because not a single person will agree with every book (or, at least, very unlikely).
Sofia wrote: "Why is Beautiful Disaster here? The Host? City of Bones? Uglies? I am Number Four? I love those books!"
You know, I was just looking into Beautiful Disaster - it has gotten a lot of attention. But apparently, I haven't read it, people seem to hate his... abusive demeanor?
And as for City of Bones, she just has a lot of hatred from the online community, which makes everyone judge her writing rather unfairly.

Think this list will start a controversy over here too, lol.
