Listopia > Shatterers of Worlds - The Most Spectacular Space Opera
Mile-long ships exchanging volleys of hot electric death! Missile salvoes that blot out the sun(s)! Planets shattering! Stars erupting! Galaxies being hurled across space like shuriken!
This is a list for the most spectacular and explosive space opera and military sci-fi, with the most absurdly large spaceships, the vastest navies, the biggest guns, and most importantly the most ginormous explosions! For inclusion in this list, a book must at minimum feature the total devastation of one (1) entire Earth-sized planet or the destruction of one (1) moon or comparably-sized megastructure (such as a Culture Orbital or the Death Star from Star Wars). Enjoy!

Note for people who voted for Saga - although it's totally awesome, unless I'm forgetting something it doesn't really qualify for this list, because no planets, moons etc. get destroyed in it. The second volume might qualify for the hatching of the Timesuck.
