I must say I haven't kept up the list for a bit now so it can probably expand with some newer volumes that have come out.
I agree with your view. I see the biggest potential in ecological-enactivism (a hybridization of ecological psychology from Gibson/Barker with enactivism). I would go a bit further even in that I see enactivism as a more systematic account using scientific insights of what John Dewey's philosophy (to me) is about.
I see dynamical/complex systems theory as a really good methodology to base models of cognition on, but I am not skilled enough in maths to fully comprehend the deeper stuff.







Enactivism in my view is definitely the way forward for cognitive science and for finally putting the mind/nature "problem" to sleep. Focus on solely on enactivism is good but I would say that it necessarily needs dynamical/complex systems theory as its methodological-empirical base.
