Why I Stand: From Freedom to the Killing Fields of Socialism by Burgess Owens was removed because this list is specifically for books from a black point of view. Let make something very clear, this book is not one of those books. Just a quick read of the book's description is a testimony to that.
Also, this list is in part to UPLIFT the black community, the culture, the heritage, the history. Disrespecting the NAACP and socialism, which is a tenant of the African-Americans community as every single leader that has advanced the community with legislature and a reallocation of resources for the community's benefit, was a socialist. For example, MLK Jr. was a socialist.
Also placing a book that clearly lies about America's history towards African-Americans is not going to be on this list. The book says the country values freedom and has christian values, all while perpetuating slavery and suppressing the African-American vote & denying reparations. Stop it. Don't put this on my list again.
So you're saying there's only one black point of view? That's funny, I thought black people fought against the notion that they all thought alike for decades. Black people don't all think alike, the same as white people don't all think alike. You should have titled this list "Books By Black Liberals" if that's what you meant and apparently it is. Socialism is what's wrong with all the big cities. All the big cities have been run by liberals for decades and the results are an epic failure. Just look at the disastrous results in Chicago, and that's just one example. Yet they keep voting the same way in the big cities. It really is mind-boggling. And as for slavery, slavery was abolished centuries ago. In fact, the reason the Republican party was founded was to try to abolish slavery. The Burgess Owens book was written by a black person and it is a nonfiction book. It clearly qualifies for this list whether you like it or not. And socialism definitely does not lift up the black community or anyone else. Quite the opposite.

Buh-bye!
OK, but you don't represent all black people. There is no "black point of view" any more than there is a "white point of view". People are all individuals. You really should call it a list of "Books By Black Liberals". That's much more accurate and I never would have added that book in the first place if you had done so.
