What is Going Vintage doing on this list?

I'm not sure. It's a book that someone else added, and apparently two other people voted for it after that. Beats me....

Books that begin with A or An really should not be considered as books that start with the letter A, just like books that start with The should not be considered books that start with the letter T.

I think it depends on what you're looking for. In an alphabetical reading challenge, you could use a book that starts with 'The' or 'A' as a book beginning with those letters. Or you could choose not to. If shelving items alphabetically, it would be different, but that's not what I'm doing here. These books literally begin with the letter 'A', or they could begin with that letter if you don't count 'The.' Personal preference.

Sorry this is late. I just saw this comment. Other people have been adding to the list, and I have no control over what they add.

I've done an an alphabetical reading challenge before and we weren't allowed to use those words as the first words of the titles, but you are right, it is your preference. So if you are ok with it in this case then it's not an issue.

I've done some where we weren't allowed to use them, and some where we were. It's just up to whomever creates the challenge. :)
