noun: an area or stretch of land having a particular characteristic, purpose, or use, or subject to particular restrictions.

Essentially, this list comprises books related to the film Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky. Stalker is about many things, and so this list could be vast. Of particular interest though is the concept of the Zone; a place outside of the 'normal' realm, where the rules are totally different, where it is difficult, or even impossible to make sense of what the Zone is about.

These Zones can be physical or mental. They can exist in reality or in fiction. The Zone cannot really be defined, and yet it exists. There are Zones everywhere, and they are different things to different people.
