Jon Which of his books should I start with first? If I am searching for social progress science and instructions?

Liquidlasagna I think the Whole Earth Catalog chose a very neat list:
a. Utopia or Oblivion (1969)
b. Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth (1969)
c. Nine Chains to the Moon (1938/1963)
d. Untitled Epic Poem on the History of Industrialization (1962)
e. Ideas and Integrities (1963)
f. No More Secondhand God (1963)

(a) goes into a utopian curriculum of design
(b) looks at the big picture, resources etc.
(c) art that dies with the person, and how we appreciate the past genuises
(d) poetic ideas of industrialization and technology
(e) ideas and intellect
(f) adding things vs taking things out with our thinking
