Several 'better as an audiobook' lists exist, but none of them seem to take the specific criteria I'm after, so here goes. This is a list for audiobooks that there is some specific compelling reason to listen to rather than read (or listen to in addition to reading, if you prefer). By compelling reason, I don't mean "I just like audiobooks better"; I mean there is something specific about the experience that is conveyed better by listening to it, such as a dialect or songs or that the book is actually a play meant to be performed. Please select the audiobook edition for your vote, not the print edition, and please note the reason listening is better in your comment when you vote. (I am absolutely fishing for recommendations here.) I will delete any votes from this list that do not meet these criteria. Thank you!
