Listopia > Nymn's Best of Child Masterminds, Geniuses & Prodigies
***Note-Please Read: I know I'm going to sound arrogant and pompous but do please understand. Unfortunately this site doesn't provide a setting for books to be only edited by the creator or even to at least make lists private. For that reason, I beg you PLEASE to not add books to my list. I do pride myself in reading a higher standard of books and making good recommendations. I work in a bookstore too and there lists help my poor memory. Happily 'like' them and vote for the books but please don't add others. There's some books I absolutely detest and they just clutter up the list. Message me if you think I've missed something important out. Chances are that I haven't read it myself and would be interested in as a recommendation. Thank for your understanding- hopefully.

Really? Although I personally haven't read Evil Genius, I have had a flip through it. I just find it sillier and not as realistic (as realistic in fantasy as you can get anyway) as Artemis Fowl. Well, we all have our personal preferences. :P
this list is missing many great books and seems limited to very young teen books? Not that ones here are bad. Just simple. What about things by Louis McMaster Bujold?
Yeah, sorry, it's my personal list and everyone does have different tastes. =/ I've only read one book by him (her?) and I wasn't impressed, I've to admit. Maybe it wasn't one of his better works though. Which books are you referring to?Also, there doesn't seem to be many fictional accounts of a child genius. You seem to know of others? If you do, please recommend it to me so I can add it to my list and read it myself. :) I only read fantasy & sci-fi at the moment however.

Anyone can add books to this list.

Personally, I thought Artemis Fowl was just so-so an only read the first one. In my opinion, Evil Genius was considerably better than Artemis Fowl, but probably I would say not as good as my top choices on your list, the Name of the Wind and Ender's Game.
