Don't miss "The Breakdown of Nations" by Kohr. He *advocates* joining the USA, Canada and Mexico into a regional government similar to the E.U. He says to make this union viable you would have to break the USA into small parts that are in conflict with each other so that no conceivable alliance of the component parts would have more power than the regional government. Kohr says the big decisions would be made undemocratically by elites that control the regional government and the underlying states would have democratic jurisdiction only over trivial issues.

Some people think breaking up the USA is a solution to ethnic conflict, but I worry that Eurowhites like me would be divided into many states in conflict with each other, for example, states based on Southern Culture, Libertarianism, Socialism, Theocracy, etc.
