Fiona Hurley How far back is "before the contemporary era"? I went with 50 or more years ago (so pre-1970).

Good question, just wanted a fantasy list that would not contain exclusively witcher, game of thrones, twilight etc. I'll change it to pre 1980.

Thanks for clarifying. That allows me to add The Princess Bride (1973) and The Bloody Chamber (1979) :)
