This list is for books that have a scholar, expert, or genius character that is BIPOC. They don’t have to be an all around genius, but they have to care about academia and be an expert in their field or be on the path to become an expert. If the scholar character is not the main character it’s okay, but they have to have a prominent role in the book. I’d say they should be a part of at least half of the book.
