For this list, I want books where the heroines are capable, independent, and when thrown in the deep end she still ends up killing it or at least surviving. She is moral, but when it comes to tough decisions and when it comes to protecting herself and her people, she will get her "hands" dirty. So she might come off a little cold maybe. This list is based on the Medieval Tale series by Lina J Potter. So anything similar is welcome. Please only first, stand-alone or the whole series if every book is applicable. Takes place in the medieval time period or thereabout. Fantasy in little bits like time travel but not the whole thing is magic, you know. Mostly it's historical fiction.
