Hi I'm new to the site and looking forward to lots of good reading. I'm not sure how the site works, could someone please explain how it works. Looking forward to meeting new friends with similar reading interest, love reading nonfiction true crime, can't get enough. Any suggestions on some good reads.

Hello Susan and welcome to the club ! I believe the best way to proceed is to play around with the various options, a more "hands on" procedure, but you will enjoy I'm sure !

Can I read the book or books selected on the site and if so, how?
Hi, Susan. That would be lovely ! You have to have your own copy of the book (physical or digital) to read and thereby make comments. This site is based around observations/feedback/commentary, but does provide the books themselves. :-)
I'm not sure that the list name is correct - half of the books here (or at least half of those that I checked) were first published in 20th century

Kiss Me, Judas has been removed, as it was first published in 1998, which makes it 20th century. Also first published in the 20th century are American Tabloid, White Jazz and A Simple Plan, which have also been removed.
Yes, those that I had in mind (was just checking the highest rating number). Also Kurt Wallander series (books 1-9), L.A. Quartet series and Kenzie & Gennaro series (books 1-6)

L.A. Confidential
Gone, Baby, Gone
The Black Dahlia
The Big Nowhere
Prayers for Rain
A Drink Before the War
Darkness, Take My Hand
Sacred
The Pyramid: And Four Other Kurt Wallander Mysteries
Faceless Killers
The Death and Life of Bobby Z
California Fire and Life
Motor City Blue
Moonlight Mile, the 6th book in the Kenzie & Gennaro series was published in 2010. so I've left it on the list.
Should you see any more books that have been first published in the 20th century, let me know, but do mention exact title and position number next time. Thanks.
