"Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance."
— Carl Sandburg
This Listopia list is dedicated to Goodread's most popular loose Short Poems. with the minimum number of ratings for inclusion set at >1.000 ratings. Once reached, there is no minimum star rating. Avoid Poetry Collections, poems over ≅10 pages long and anything that doesn't have 'Poetry' in its top 10 shelved Genres.
Note: This list is exclusively for Short Poems, not Short Poem Collections or Poems that take more than 10 minutes to read.
Just for the record, Poetry is a form of literary art written in verse, where language is used for its aesthetic and evocative qualities in addition to, or in lieu of, its apparent meaning. If you need a bookmark for it, it isn't a short poem! The vast majority of works should be well under 10 pages long (on a plain-text edition) and take less than an 10 minutes to read, with some minor exceptions.
As far as a few prominent examples, you'll find 'Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night' (1951) by Dylan Thomas, and 'Ozymandias' (1817) by Percy Bysshe Shelley.

Additional Inclusion/Exclusion Notes
• Self-promotional or Spam entries will be summarily removed with prejudice.
• Short Poem Collections are unequivocally excluded, save the few cases where the whole work could be considered a single qualifying short poem.
• The poems should be standalone—Namely, not build on other works or be entries/continuations of a series.
• In the case of children's picture books or nursery rhymes where it isn't clear whether it is a poem or a picture book foremost, if 'Poetry' is the more shelved category, or if it is also widely circulated in plain-text format, it is qualifying.
• For works in the gray zone—where it's not clear whether it's a short poem or not—let's try to keep it under 10 minutes read time.
Notes for Goodreads Librarians
• Don't worry about leaving a comment saying you've deleted an entry if it simply didn't qualify or is spam. Better save the comments for doubts or interesting points.
Notes for Goodreads Users
• See something non-qualifying? Leave a comment below so a Librarian can remove it. You'll get even more karma points if you delete your no-longer applicable comment after it gets deleted so the rest of us don't get confused or try to delete it again.
