Really good fantasy books, you will not regret reading them ! This list is very small, because these books are fantasy PERFECTION, if you disagree, then go read some Harry Potter and come back when you're ready - this list is for the big boys.
These are the MUST-READS:
1. Name of the wind
Extremely well-written, great depth in both worldbuilding
and storytelling, all in all, a beautiful read.
2. Magician
The entire Magician series by Raymond Feist is a masterclass in
storytelling and it's one of the classics of fantasy - don't skip it.
3. Gardens of the moon
Gardens of the moon is a very, VERY dense book - the worldbuilding is very complex and detailed (it used to be a D&D campaign) but stick with it and you'll see why it made it on this list.
4. Shadow of the gods
Shadow of the gods is reminiscent of a Viking epic, but it surprised me with the depth and clarity of the read - the worldbuilding is twined imperceptibly with the plot - a new epic of... well EPIC proportion (trust me, it's worth a shot).
As a final note, all the books on this list were added selectively, and I can recommend them unreservedly to anyone. Enjoy your reading, and if you have any recommendations to add to this list, keep them to yourself, because this is MY LIST you twit.
