Um, that would be me. Anyone can add to it though or vote for what they want. That's why it is open to anyone. I just barely created this list in the last hour or so. I am sure if you give it some more time, you might find other books you like more. Or you could make your own list.
Well, I did add some of my own.I just wondered about the list because there were only a few that I had heard of. Others I was not tempted by.
Of course, I may lead a sheltered existence.
And I do hope to finish The Lovely Bones this year, too.
That sucks. I bought it so I will read it. I can't wait to read Princess Bride. I used to have the edition that had the movie parts in it too but I lent it to my brother and he lost it. When I finally went to replace it, I couldn't find it. But I have been told the original version is really good.
I highly recommend Evermore by Alyson Noel. I notice you have that listed and I really enjoyed it. There are 2 more books in the series so far. Blue Moon (2) and Shadowland (3) I haven't read either yet.
Thanks for the recomendation! That is one that I actually have. I have a hard time reading what I have and not buying more books :D. Hi. My name is Leana. And I have a problem! Yea! I did it! Admitting is the first step! What if I don't want to fix the problem though :D
To those of you who voted for The Historian, maybe you'll like it but I kind of want the time I spent reading it back, and my ten bucks. It was sooo dry. I want a little more juice in my vampire books. The only thing that kept me going was the actual history, but I could have gotten that in an actual history book.
I'm extremely glad that The Hunger Games is first, because it's amazing! I totally recommend it. The Host, too.
Is it my imagination or it is true that most of the books on this list seem to be about vampires and the un dead. What's the fascination? Can anybody explain?

When you go into the bookstore there is a whole section entitled "if you like twilight". It's insane!
As for the fascination, people love vampires because of their immortality and beauty, two things that are valued by the human race. Seems like they forget the whole drinking blood and no-light thing.
I've read quite a few of these books, and enjoyed most of them. The only one I would remove for sure is The Lovely bones. It was recommended to me and I cannot start a book without finishing it, but I basically had to force myself to finish this book. It may just be me, but it was so depressing to read that it was not even enjoyable. Heads up to anyone who doesn't like reading books that make you want to go jump off a cliff when your done. Again...just my opinion.
Megan wrote: "I had no idea there was a brand new Percy Jackson book! Wait is there?"I don't know about a new Percy Jackson book, but Rick Riordan did just come our with a brand new book that's NOT in the Percy Jackson series... Maybe that's what you're thinking about?
P.S. We have the same name.
I liked the list and found a few I forgot
There's so many on this list I have to read. I can't wait to read "American Psycho" but I can't get it anywhere.
Jan C wrote: "Well, I only read one of the ones I voted for."I mean after you made your list and then read them, should you take the books off?

Why? Did your intention change? Or maybe you want to move them to a list for this year.

I think there are only two or three that I would even want to read, when I get around to it.
