This is a list of books that are perfect for Write Out! Write Out (#writeout) is a free two-week event, led by the National Writing Project and the National Park Service. Organized as a two-week celebration of writing, making, and sharing inspired by the great outdoors, Write Out is a public invitation to get out and create that is supported with a series of online activities, made especially for educators, students, and families, to explore national parks and other public spaces.

This year’s Write Out theme is Poetry, Prose, and Parks! and will run October 8-22, 2023. To support this theme, Write Out 2023 will be organized around fun ways to play with prose and poetry in parks of all shapes and sizes.
