Pretty sure it means Australian authors who write books in this genre, regardless of where the story takes place. As long as the author is Australian and the story fits the crime fiction genre.

The natural next question (for me) would be - does a historical fantasy murder mystery by an aussie author fir the rules? :)
Not sure Assaph, I think you should check to see what genre the book is normally listed under...unless it is your own book? Can you mention its title in your message, maybe one of the Mods could help?

It's an historical fantasy wrapped around a murder mystery. So there will be some overlap with crime lovers (plus, I'm an Aussie), but it's not a perfect fit.
Doesn't anyone on this list read Kindle, or eBooks?Seems there are many Australian 'crime' novels available in those formats
I am trying to find an Australian author (male) who writes about mysteries in the Outback and the Aboriginal culture. I used to get his books at the public library and would love to re-read his books, but I cannot remember his name.

No. 96 "Showtime" appears to be Sci-fi/fantasy not crime. No.124 "Killing for pleasure: the definitive story of the Snowtown murders" is true crime not fiction.

Help!I read an Australian crime thriller decades ago but can't now for the life of me remember the title or author.
The story was about a small group of Sydney-based crooks who decide to rob a bank in a country town, figuring the security will be lax. One of them goes ahead to scope out the town and falls in love with a young Aboriginal woman.
Don't remember anything else, but from memory it would he been published in the 80s or earlier.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be?
Thanks in anticipation :)
@MarcusHave you tried What's the Name of That Book??? on GR yet? They have been able to help me twice.
