• Nonfiction text that includes key word pronunciations alongside the word
• Literary, artistic, or informational merit
• Accessible reading levels on diverse topics of interest through teen years
• Written or illustrated by dyslexic authors
• A positive or balanced portrayal of dyslexia
• Literacy methods that are evidence-based, effective, and fun
