BB is about two young musicians dragged down by the 60s counterculture. The male protagonist has just returned from Vietnam, feeling very disillusioned by the war and a bit reckless with his life. The female protagonist is a spoilt, strung-out rich kid looking for something to connect to and often going about it all wrong. The author uses and embellishes on observations and experiences, weaving them into fiction in the hopes of capturing magical but somewhat misled moments in the late 60s /early 70s - ending with a bitter-sweet tale with unforgettably colourful characters.
