Help! I'm despairing. I'm starting to fear that the only 21st Century books I like are either: A) written by people I know personally, or B) written by William T. Vollmann. There must be more! Reveal the true greats of our time... if there are any! Don't waste my time with Hillary Mantel. Give me the good stuff, the books that compare well with the best of the 20th or at least the 19th Century... or is literature really done for?
