This list has been created for the 2013 Debut Author Challenge, but can be also used as a starting guide for those interested in reading 2013 books from new authors.

Unfortunately, it's pretty easy for other users to add books to this list which are not 2013 debuts so not all titles listed may be reliable. I will be checking it once a week or so to remove titles that do not qualify.
A book only qualifies for this list if it's the author's first middle grade or young adult book. If the author has published a billion adult books and this is their first young adult book, it counts. If the author published a young adult book two years ago or three years ago or last month, their new book does not count.

Just thought I'd let you know that The Program and Let the Sky Fall aren't debuts.

Also The Program's author has previously published other YA books. (edited to add: oops, missed that one on Rebecca's post)
What a great challenge this is!I just added my novel, Echo. I could have sworn I added it once before, so in the off-chance it happened to have been deleted last time: This is my first YA or MG novel, due out in April 2013. My only prior title is an adult novella.

I'm pretty sure numbers 155-157 can't be debuts, because they are either 1.5s, 2.5s or 0.5s in the series which means that other books have already happened, to have a sequel/prequel
Sorry, it's actually the same with 154, 153, 151, 149 and 147...

There are also Matched & Crossed, Scarlet, The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series that are on here that shouldn't be :)
A good half of the third page needs removed.
