Wow, so far 10 people voted for 5 books each and we only have 4 books so far that 2 people voted on.

It's such a shame. Apparently, this list has been rigged? Of course, that was not what I intended, this was supposed to reflect the readers' choices, not to be a list of self promotion :(It was a nice list while it was still working, though, so thanks for all who put up honest readers' votes here.
Yeah 9 ratings and 46 votes/ 13 ratings and 47 votes and both by the same author(!) Sounds highly suspicious. Too sad some people use these lists as self-promotion. Makes me want to avoid those books at any costs actually.
I'm always tempted to remove books that are trying to game the system that way, but it's your choice, Lennongirl.
@Susanna, yes, I'm tempted, too, but Goodreads is so serious about deleting books from such lists - I don't want my librarian status at risk for this. For now, I've contacted Good reads, since I'm pretty sure such behaviour goes against their (author) spamming policies. I'm still waiting for them to get back on me, though.
Yep, I feel free to remove books that are grossly out of order (fiction on a non-fiction list, books on lists of prize winners that didn't win the prize), but I'm pretty cautious about ones like this.
That's exactly the problem, they belong onto this list alright... Just not into the top spots, not like this at least ;)
I just removed all books that individual voters hat ascertainably voted for in excess of 5 books total, as well as the spam flavor of the week (Isn't It Pretty To Think So?), which has been reported to GR as abuse of listopia.
