Please add as many books with a Duke as the main character as possible!!!!! I want this list to be an inspiration to everyone who love them but don't know where to find them ;)
The list is about Dukes but how come It Happened One Autumn (Wallflowers, #2) could also listed here? Marcus is no Duke!! He's "only" an earl, right??
yup marcus only an earl. . .mayne in pleasure of pleasure is an earl too :D how "about the duke to die for" amelia grey?why that book not at list?
I dunno about it happened one autumn and pleasure of pleasure. There are books added by other people ;) As for the "the duke to die for" you can add it in your list (when you choose which book is your favorite) I cannot add any other books now because I filled my 100 own 100 books sorry.
heheh oke...no problem...i try to add my book in list....by the way this list is cool....i wanna read all :D
Not all of them about Duke... Potent Pleasure, In bed with a devil, It happen one autumn, To Sir Philip with Love, The Perfect Rake, Pleasure With Pleasure... the lead heroes are not a duke.
The Perfect Rakeshouldnt be on this list.Sure there is a duke in it,and the heroine claims to be engaged to him. But the love interest is the dukes cousin.

Most Listopia lists have books that don't belong, because people add them on vote on them regardless.

Yes,I hate when that happens :/

There should be.You cant even bury the books because people keep voting them up. I mean they arent bad books.
But they just dont fit the list. >_<
Susanna wrote: "Oh, there is a way to edit them - librarians can do it. What do you want taken off?"Saral, the creator of this list, intended to list all the books that feature a duke as the main character (see comment #3). I'd like to take off all the books that do not feature a duke as the hero. I mean, I guess it's okay if he's the heir to the dukedom or something, but other than that some of these books really don't belong. As Kamaga-the Literaturevixen said, we have nothing against those books, just that they do not fit the intended list.
Susanna wrote: "Oh, there is a way to edit them - librarians can do it. What do you want taken off?"I'm only sure about It Happened One Autumn and The Perfect Rake, but according to Nunung (see comment #8) there's also Potent Pleasure, In Bed with a Devil, To Sir Philip with Love, and Pleasure for Pleasure.
Susanna wrote: "Oh, there is a way to edit them - librarians can do it."I applied to become a librarian because of this. ^__^ I took off It Happened One Autumn, but I'm too scared to remove anything else incase I remove one that actually does belong.
Kagama-the Literaturevixen wrote: "Do you have to be a superlibrararian to be able to do that? Because I am also a GR librarian...but have no clue how to remove books from lists."No, you don't have to be a superlibrarian. Under the title of this list (Dukes...Bring 'em on) click "edit". Then click "remove particular books" near the bottom of the page.

Do you have to be a superlibrararian to be able to do that?
Because I am also a GR librarian...but have no clue how to remove books from lists. :(

No, Kagama, just a librarian. You use the "remove particular books" feature at the bottom of the edit page.ETA: I became a librarian after someone added Thomas Hardy to a list I started about Tudor England. They had to come off!
Hooray. Thank you :)Of course you had to remove that one. Not even the right century...sheesh
and FIY I became a librarian after I noticed an appalling lack of plot descriptions and book covers for older historical romances. Working myself through them one at a time.
Yep.Im weird :P
Apart from the Duke of Wellington, is there a duke in An Infamous Army (#196) who is a main character? Because the Duke of Wellington is not and I've read the book too long ago to remember.... Same goes for The Spanish Bride (#159), by the way.
I agree with many on this list. I would like to add one. "The Duke's Night of Sin" by Kathryn Caskie
Mwanderer79 wrote: "I would like to add one. "The Duke's Night of Sin" by Kathryn Caskie"It's easy to add a book to this list: Just click on "Add books to list list" at the top of the Listopia. In the screen that opens you'll see, on the left, "Add books from: My Books or a Search" Assuming you've read the book and it is on your shelves, you can type (part of) the title just left of the 'search my books' button and then click the button. The book will then be shown to you and is easy to vote for.
