Fun/Playful Magic Realism (50 books)

This is a list of books which include magic realism and which also have relatively happy endings. The books can include drama and angst but must *also* leave you with a great feeling at the end. I'm tired of picking up a new book which includes magic realism, and which has great reviews, only to find myself depressed and sad at the end of the book. I want to read books with magic realism which make me feel good, in which the world is opened up because of the magical atmosphere, books where you can root for the characters, where magic lifts the characters up, and in which there might be a bit of romance. No dark, depressing books here - there are other lists which laud the appeal of tragic, melancholy, doomed characters in books which include magic realism, this is not that list!
