Having been in a reading slump for some months, in fact my reading has declined for the past few years, I decided that maybe i should really have a proper challenge, so i am looking for people to populate my list with their choice of the best ( and i mean the best, not just one you enjoyed ) novels, collections and novellas. (Please think about nominating the whole collection if you think a short story should qualify eg There will Come Soft Rains by Bradbury, go for The Martian Chronicles. Which I will add anyway.
I want classics, I want modern wonders, I want YA, from Detectives to SF, from Asian classics to Harry Potter .
I dont claim I will read them all, I just want to reinvigorate my reading , especially as I’m retired, and want some outside the box thinking to come up with a list.
I want a real mixture as I’ve looked at some of the available lists and they are either too “classicy” or 100 modern novels of the 21st century, again not my thing. Some of each yes, and others too.
I may put out a call for titles, but even if I dont, and you see this, please feel free to add a book you think should be there.
I will hopefully over the next few weeks start to populate it myself.

I hope this works and I get the sort of list I’m looking for, if not, a spreadsheet and stealing titles from the many lists out there will have to suffice.
