Listopia > David Bowie's Top 100 Must Read Books
This has been all over the web this past week, (9/30/13), so I'm somewhat surprised that no one has made an official Goodreads list out of it yet.
For further reference, see:

R.I.P.
edit: For those who seem incapable of reading (ironic, given that you're on this site), this list is David Bowie's Top 100 Books. Make your own damn list if you want, but stop adding books to this list that aren't on the list referenced in the links above. Thanks.

I've added the rest of the list (or as near as possible with regard to the comics and magazines). The full list is online here: http://consequenceofsound.net/2013/10...

Why are we at 103...? Don't add to Bowie's list, make your own inspired one and link it here instead.
We can make the list static, but I'm just checking with people that we will still be able to vote on the static books....UPDATE: Doh, if we make it static, we take away the ability to vote. Sorry folks.
Thanks for making the list. Is it only me who thinks there are some books missing? How about Inferno by Dante, shouldn't it be the Divine Comedy!? Thanks again

thanks Mark
Thanks for making the list, I have actually read a few that's kinda cool that I have read the same books David Bowie has lol.
Hi Mark, is there a way to add these 100 as a shelf on my "Bowie" bookshelf in one hit, or do I have to add them one by one? Thanks in advance,
Ace

And if you have something already shelved, you have to open it etc. because otherwise you are going to shelf a dublicate. It's not user friendly.

I added them one by one. :)
I read several of the books he had on his list and I loved all of them. So I will read the rest as it seems we might have similar tastes :)
I really enjoyed his music, but surprisingly we didn't share similar literary tastes. I had only read 3 of the books on the list, and have just started a 4th which is how I was directed to the list.
Thank you, deleted user. A coworker handed this book to me, so of course I had to sit down and see which books I had read and hit up Goodreads. I've read fifteen books on this list. (Sixteen actually, but I read The Day of the Locust as an omnibus with Miss Lonelyhearts.) Three books that I am interested in reading are:The Master and Margarita (Mikhail Bulgakov)
Passing (Nella Larsen)
Last Exit to Brooklyn (Hubert Selby Jr.)
Weirdly, those three are all hanging out next to each other in his Table of Contents (#68, 69, 70), like their own strange little clique.
