Karen:It's great that you're doing this. I love children's books in that I have 3 children of my own.
And speaking of children...when you get a chance, visit my website http://anjuellefloyd.com, and view my recent interview on San Francisco's The View from the Bay. It's on the media page.
And thanks for being my friend at goodreads.
Have a nice day.

Imagination is the key to freedom.
The artist's job is to cultivate and nurture her or his imagination, and that of others.
No one can beat Beatrix Potter so very surprised not to see her books at the top of this list!!!!!
No kidding. It's very hard to decide and I'm sure if I had all the children't books and had to put them in order of my love for them, it would change daily because of my mood etc.My grandson, Liam, said the other day that he was allergic to monkeys and I said how would you know that? He said cuz I don't like Curious George anymore. He had been watching it at the ballet studio where Clara was taking her lesson. I told him I guess he would have to stay away from the zoo when we went and he just said No, I'll just stay away from the monkeys. He will be 5 on the 30th of this month. He makes me laugh all the time and so does his sister, Clara.

Same for me on the moods but I do remember how I felt about Peter Rabbit the first time Mom ever read it to me. You can tell Liam I am also allergic to monkeys, LOL! (and clowns)

OOh there is a phobia for fear of clowns. I forgot what it was called, though. My daughter, Carrie Anne was always afraid of clowns and my sister-in-law collected them. She had a huge display case full of clown figurines, masks, etc and Carrie Anne would hang by me when we went to her house. One of the first sentences she said was about going to Dee's drive Inn. She said,"Ucky burger clown's ucky face." She was about 2 1/2 She didn't want to eat there.

Oh, I am the same! They seem very evil to me also. Their faces are hiding something. I always feel like running!

Couldn't resist looking it up. Fear of clowns is called coulrophobia. They say it's a pretty common fear.
A great list...there are some that I would have added, though. For instance, the Raggedy Ann books, any number of classic Golden Books like "the Saggy Baggy Elephant", "Tawny Scrawny Lion", etc... also the Dorrie the Witch series by Patricia Coombs.
Hi everyone,I have created a new group called Goodreads All Sorts and I'd love for people to join it or just even just give it a look. It's a group that discusses anything and everything. There will be monthly group reads, movies, and music. There is a folder for everything you could think of. I'd really like if people could spread the word because I'd love for the group to be a success. Here is the link to the group:

Thanks very much,
Jack :-)
