Okay, Twilight the movie sucked; but Eragon was a good movie. Also Harry Potter 7 hasn't even come out how do you want to see a better movie of a movie that doesn't exist.
Twilight and Eragon, yes defenitelyoh and Harry Potter and the half blood prince, really should have been better
good topic
Ella Enchanted. Oh my god, my friend had to hold my hands down when I saw that in theatres. I felt like setting the fucking screen on fire. And then they made The Tale of Despereaux into a kids movie! Major loss of cool points there, Universal Pictures. Major loss of cool points.
I love Ella Enchanted but then I made the mistake of reading the book. I liked it less because it wasn't like the movie, which is unusual. I know I'd've liked the book a lot more had I read it first.I agree, the Tale of Despereaux was awful.
I think the film adaptation I was the most upset with was Ella Enchanted. It's one of my absolute favorite books, and I've read it multiple times since first reading it as a kid. The movie was a joke in comparison (just my opinion of course). It had some good points, and they actually made a few changes that I thought would have made the story work better as a movie... but overall there were just too many and they were too far off from the original nature of the book.
I think I might be the only one who actually liked the Eragon movie. xD I wish they would make the other ones, but I don't think the first did that well.
I've seen a lot of movies that don't do their books justice, but for me two take the cake: Eragon and My Sister's Keeper. With Eragon, they didn't even try to follow the book, it seemed. They changed so many things and it wasn't even an entertaining movie- all I remember is walking out of the theater shaking my head. It's one of my favorite series too.
With My Sister's Keeper it was a similar thing, but I was okay with it until they changed the ending. That wasn't how it was supposed to go, and I'm a stickler for that sort of thing, especially when dealing with amazing, emotional books like that one.
Oddly enough, Ella Enchanted, one of my favorite childhood books, changed drastically in the movie and it has never bothered me.
I haven't seen most of these movies- maybe I shouldn't?

Now, let's let people decide for themselves. It's fine if someone has a different opinion.
They butchered Upside-Down Magic. They some of the concepts, most of the protagonist was spot-on, but they changed the definition of Flicker, the magic for both Elliott & Pepper, tried to force a romantic subplot, cut most of the characters because apparently they can’t have more than four main characters, deleted the entire town of Dunwiddle, & the backstory for Nory’s family. They abused an overused trope, & in the process, the both changed most of the in-story history & created an unnecessary dark force.
The unnecessary film adaptation of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is all about how the books' stupidity came to be, and how Douglas Adams' stupidity was made even worse. The film was popular with kids from all around the world, but it sucked and it became a box-office bomb. If there's another unnecessary film adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, it will also become popular with kids from around the world, but it will also suck, and it will become a box-office bomb just like the first one, only even worse.

*goes on and on about how much they changed about the book*
