Beverly Two strikes against What Does the Fox Say?:

1. It was published in 2013, not 2014, and the 2015 Caldecott must be published in 2014.
2. The illustrator, to whom the award is given, is a resident of Norway. Caldecott awards go only to residents of the US.
This comment, of course, in no way says that the book does not have wonderful illustrations; the book may be eligible for other awards, just not the Caldecott.

Beverly Sorry Juju and Mieng, but Time for Bed, Fred by Yasmeen Ismail is not eligible for a Caldecott award because the author is a resident of England. It was also originially published in 2013 in the UK. The Caldecott award only goes to residents of the United States. Very cute book, though.
