If this is a best non-fiction list, why is "Killer Angels: A NOVEL of the Civil War," winner of the 1975 Pulitzer Prize for FICTION, included??? Just curious.

I can't figure out how to remove books from the list, could you enlighten me?
You have to be a librarian to remove books, though anyone can remove their own vote for one.Any other fiction lurking in there I didn't spot?

IN COLD BLOOD is what its author called a "non-fiction" novel. Similarly, Jeff Shaara's Rise to Rebellion, although told in narrative form is as close to non-fiction as he could make it while maintaining the narrative thread. Maybe we should have a separate list ?
Hi everyone,I have created a new group called Goodreads All Sorts and I'd love for people to join it or just even just give it a look. It's a group that discusses anything and everything. There will be monthly group reads, movies, and music. There is a folder for everything you could think of. I'd really like if people could spread the word because I'd love for the group to be a success. Here is the link to the group:

Thanks very much,
Jack :-)
To Kill a Mockingbird and Animal Farm both removed as they are fiction.
Fifty Shades of Grey, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Jessica: The Little Girl Who Loves Jesus, and Sophie's World all removed as they are all fiction.
What about the two books of Khaled Hosseini? "The kite runner" and "One thousand splendid suns" are novels! And where are the interesting books? I don't think that self-help best-sellers can be a canon of human thought, do you?
Not a single historian worth of the name... no philosophers... only a book ABOUT Chomsky... ???
Elanna wrote: " no philosophers..."I voted for Bertrand Russell's A History of Western Philosophy... Must have been added then after you added your message.
Someone must have deleted the two novels by Khaled Hosseini, as they don't seem to be there anymore.
Neva wrote: ""The Help" is fiction. :)"I checked the list, but it seems to have been deleted already.
I deleted Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone #544, The Incredible Journey #559, and The Hunger Games #1322. All are fiction.
"Barbara wrote: The Fault in Our Stars should be deleted.Booklovinglady wrote: Which number is it at?

Book has been deleted.
More fiction to delete: The Night Circus (1434), The Princess Bride (1463); The Fifth Wave (1415); Twilight (1490); A Visit from the Goon Squad (1582); Eleanor & Park (1283); All the Bright Places (1242); The World of Tomorrow (1132); Fangirl (1322); Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants (1194); and last but not least To Kill a Mockingbird! (1926).
this book is listed at least three times on the list... and probably shouldn't be included at all:The Complete What Ukulele Players Really Want To Know
by Barry Maz
Susanna - Censored by GoodReads wrote: "Is it still on three times? I combined duplicates, but none were removed."so far i've seen it twice...
and if you can delete Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand... that is definitely fiction.
thanks!
Sean wrote: "The Giving Tree, 1984 and Twilight can be removed."Which numbers were they on? (25 pages is an awful lot to go through, for what might turn out to be a wild goose chase... See my previous comment)
John wrote: "Upton Sinclair's The Jungle is fiction."There are 27 pages at the moment; which number is it on?

Sorry! Number 137 (page 2).
I have removed The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas which was on 425 or something and is most definitely not nonfiction and 3 people had voted for.
Wow, Chaos and Grime: A Year in the Life of a Chinese City is all over lots and lots of Goodreads lists - so much for people not spamming. What a shame these lists are spammed, those that do it really should take a look and themselves and feel ashamed.

Anyone can add books to this list.
