Har wrote: "Winds of winter confirmed to be coming out in 2028"So it will be published two years before Doors Of Stone.
Rothfuss Tweeted that there will definitely not be Doors of Stone in 2015. Not that anyone will listen.
No one seems to be editing this list. There are books on here, that when you go to their pages, have dates like 2016 or later, especially some of the Brandon Sanderson books on this list. This top 2 books won't be out this year. Neither will The Bastards and the Knives.
Trust me, taking those off would do nothing, they'd be right back again. People are...not well informed.
They would at least drop off the #1 and #2 spots, for top books of 2015, it's actually Ironic, as the top books wont even come out in 2015.
Nah, people would vote them back up. Winds of Winter is still technically possible for Xmas 2015, but I seriously doubt it.
this list is of course wrong. Brandon Sanderson has given accurate accounts of when his books will be coming out, and other than firefight, i don't believe any of his books are coming out this year.
Really? There was a list on another site that quoted him as saying three were due out this year, but maybe I read 2016 as 2015. I mean, it is Sanderson, that man is some sort of inhuman writing machine.

I am also assuming that skybreaker will be coming out in 2016 and hes also working on the next Rithmatist book, which may also come out in 2016-2017. He says he is also working on the last book of the steelheart trilogy so that's expected 2015-2016.

So yea, he is a machine indeed. and I admit that I may have been a bit presumptuous with my earlier message :)
How can I vote for anything that's supposed to be science fiction when I can't even find it amid all this fantasy sludge??! Science fiction is a genre unto itself and shouldn't be mixed with futuristic fantasy, and yet that BS seems to be happening everywhere. I suspect it's designed to obscure the fact of how little pure sci-fi is available. Sure, I read a bit of fantasy now and then, but my real interest is in science fiction -- as in, it's based on extrapolations of **actual science** that are key to the plot. I don't see any Ben Bova listed here, and he has TWO sci-fi books out in 2015. So does Kim Stanley Robinson -- Aurora and Green Earth, due out in November. Any number of real sci-fi authors aren't listed here. This list needs to be renamed FANTASY and separated from sci-fi, so the sci-fi readers can be heard. Will someone PLEASE create a list of pure sci-fi for us to vote on? Thank you!!!
mike ells wrote: "I guess SciFi readers don't vote as this list is chock full of fantasy crap."@Mike Ells: That's because Goodreads screwed up and didn't separate real sci-fi from fantasy to begin with. Here, I'll give you a few things to vote on:
William Gibson's new one: The Peripheral
Ben Bova: Power Surge
Ben Bova: Death Wave
Kim Stanley Robinson: Aurora
Kim Stanley Robinson: Green Earth
That's only a start.
anyone can add books to this list. Plus, anyone can make a list for others to vote on. I don't think ranting because this list is "chock full of fantasy crap" is necessary.
