With regards to On the Edge of Gone: while several major characters are queer, the protagonist isn't.

Hi Corinne, awesome, thanks for letting me know! For this list, all LGBT characters are welcome to be included, even minor ones. :)
Thanks for letting me know! Looks like it got pushed to the following year. I'll go ahead and add it to the 2017 list instead.
That's no problem at all! It does sound like an awesome book. I added it over to the Queer Princesses list that was recently created.

Removed the upcoming Becky Albertalli, which got pushed to 2017, and Bad Boy by Leah Raeder, which is NA, not YA.
American Girls by Alison Umminger -- protagonist has a lesbian mom. It's just a detail and it's not what the book is about so I'm not sure if it's enough for your list, but I wanted to call it to your attention.
Awesome, thanks so much for the info! Yes, lesbian moms definitely qualify. I'll make sure to put it on the LGBT parent list, too.
Ooh, there's a parent list? The Olive Conspiracy definitely belongs on there, it stars a lesbian mom with a bi lady partner and the dads (also a couple) even show up for a couple of chapter(Unless you mean parents of the MC.)
Yes, there is a list.Books for Teens with LGBT Parents
It could definitely use more voters! The only requirement is that the book be YA and contain at least one LGBT parent. It doesn't matter if it's the MC's parent or not.
you should add the book "Notes from a Blender" because a main character's dad is gay and she is accepting but learns her soon-to-be step brother (based upon her dad's new marriage to a man) is not so accepting. It's a good book even though that part is only a side story to the main plot.
Sounds like a good story, but this list is only for books with an original publication date of 2016. Notes from the Blender came out in 2011.
oops, I forgot to read the 2016 part. My bad.
I removed Own Goal, which was not released in 2016. The press that was slated to publish it apparently shut down.
