Why is it that people have to mindlessly vote for the twilight books on every list, even when they're not relevant? This is for books that will be released in 2009 people.
I have noticed people have used this list to vote for books they want to read this year, instead of it's actual purpose of books your looking forward to reading once they are released this year. You would think with the amount of readers on this site, they would take the time to read the instructions. *sigh*
Belinda, I hear you on the twilight issue. I really enjoyed the series but they do not belong on every single list created on Goodreads. I've seen them listed under categories they do not even closely belong to. Which is sad because pushy, obsessed fans who are constantly putting the books in every ones face is what has created part of the twilight hatters backlash. Jeez, I'm even starting to get sick of seeing those covers and hearing about it.
*slowly shaking head*
New MoonThe sequal to Twilight,New Moon, is the second best of the two books. New Moon shows the relationship between Bella and Edward. Their love is tested when Jasper is tempted to bite Bella when she gets a paper cut. Edward is leaving her, and she doesn't think she'd be able to survive. but will she be able to or will her be love struck by best friend Jacob?
Twilight books are NOT 2009. 2/3 of Cassie Clare's series is NOT 2009. This is a rather stupid list. Way to keep on top of it...

I to have a problem with the Twilight books showing up every where. The other series I am tired of seeing every where is the Harry Potter books. All of them where published long before now so why are they still turning up in this type of list???
Cassandra clair may not be complitly 2009, but the third book did come out in march, so that should count.i'm sick of seeing twilight too. Most of those books came out long before 2009, and it does'nt make sence that Steph is making all her money now.
I too assume we are looking for the great books of 2009, which is why I named Home Repair by Liz Rosenberg and Await Your Reply by Dan Chaon and left out older books that I also love. Come on, guys, we can keep our years straight! There's not that much left to this one anyway.
Why is Twilight up there? None of them came out in 2009!!!! Sure, you people may like them but to put them on EVERY SINGLE LIST???????? Seriously, look at almost every list- there is always a Twilight book on.

yes, I think several of these books came out much earlier, someone needs to do a massive delete

Anyone can add books to this list.

My point is, (yes, there was a point! :-))the system wouldn't allow me to select the 2009 editions when I added them to this Listopia Group.
