Listopia > Gamers Who Don't Actually Game Should Read These Books
By 'gamers who don't actually game', I guess I mean those of us who really love everything video games represent and might've been heavy into gaming at some point in our lives, but don't actually 'game' because:
A, we sucked and kept dying (I DID press X, the stupid elven lord still killed me!).
B, we didn't have the time/ability to play certain games (my parents wouldn't let me sign up for World of Warcraft, is costs this stupid thing called money).
C, we don't have a system (does my laptop count? *is laughed at by the game guy at Wal-Mart*).
Or D, all of the above (take a wild friggin' guess which one applies to me).
Anyway, to cope, we read these books.
PLEASE only add books about the gaming EXPERIENCE, not books based off video games.
There are plenty of lists about those.

Haha, I totally get this! I used to spend hours trying to beat levels in games like Hill Climb Racing, and sometimes it felt like the hills were winning 😂. Even if we don’t “game” as much now, I love reading about the gaming experience itself—how it shapes strategy, patience, and creativity. If anyone’s curious, I recently shared some thoughts on Hill Climb Racing and its gameplay experience here: [hillcrmapk.com]. It’s kind of a fun way to relive the thrill without actually grinding the levels!
