These are the books I have "tried" to read, but were not able to complete due to their sheer difficulty and complexity. So, I usually don't have a solid idea of how goods these books actually are.
I do not claim that this list is complete in any way, but I have personally tried to read all of these books (this is not a compilation of various "difficult books" list on the internet).
Some entries may be questionable since English is not my mother tongue.
Finally, I don't take into condideration the "size" of the book. Size does not matter, but I don't think a book can be considered difficult just because it is thick.
