"These were very dark books that were set in the times they were written. I loved Terry Brooks back then, but these weren't my favorites, but good books. I did not like that he uesd these to start Shannara instead of the Magic Kingdom books. These are based on Arthurian legends that kind of ring true, but not quite. It did explain the Druid Allanon's staff in the Sword of Shannara though."
