Tamsyn Not a fan of Wonder? What did you decide to read aloud first?

Monica Edinger I do like Wonder, but these others are my top Newbery wishes to date. As for the read aloud, it will indeed by Three Times Lucky because we are lucky enough to have the author coming for a visit in early October. I am looking forward to both reading aloud the book and her visit.

Tamsyn I loved Three Times Lucky -- hope she's as good a speaker as a writer. That's in my top few, also. Bet it will be a fun one to read aloud. What grade will you be reading to?

Monica Edinger I heard her at ALA and she was a very good speaker! I'll be reading it to my fourth grade. (At the end of last year one of my students read it in ARC and gave it a rave review.)

Eric I had a chance to meet and talk to Sheila earlier this month, she is the very definition of "a super sweet lady". You're kids are going to have a great time.
