Have you actually read Les Miserables?

No, but I have started it twice, and from what I've read, it's brilliant. Victor Hugo has a thing for detail, and it's really interesting to read. The first hundred pages or so is of describing one man's character who plays a part in only the beginning of the book. It's really neat. The same with The Odyssey, I've never read it, but bits of it I've seen, and it's really well done.
Oh, I see! I've been wondering about it for awhile! and I was like "Oh, someone I can ask!". I absolutely adore the story, and I can't wait for the new movie to come out! The Odyssey has been on my "to-read" list for awhile, I need to kick my butt into gear and actually read it!
Have you seen the musical Les Mis before? I'm really looking forward to the movie too. And yeah, The Odyssey is one of those like The Lord of the Rings, you really really want to read it, but then you open it and see full pages where there's no dialogue or pictures, and it creeps ya out. Or that's what it does for me. :)
